The month for love has officially arrived and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate Valentine’s Day in the Magic City! This month, we’ve teamed up with two fabulous Homewood boutiques, SOCA and Ambiance, to pull together nine lovely looks for wherever the holiday takes you. And what better backdrop is there than the dreamy and dramatic Alabama Theatre?!
Today’s gorgeous and talented models, Yifan Zhou, Kathleen Costello and Hillary Tidman are three of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra’s female musicians. It was such a treat to get all dolled up with these inspiring ladies! They’re rocking style suggestions for upcoming events, Fleetwood Mac at the BJCC, Casablanca at the Alabama Theatre and the Alabama Symphony Orchestra’s presentation of Prokofiev’s Romeo & Juliet — all of which are the ideal romantic night for you and your sweetheart.
Happy Valentine’s Day, y’all! Now, let’s get to styling.
The Event: Fleetwood Mac at the BJCC
- February 13, 2019
- Show starts at 8 p.m.

Grab your sweetheart and head to the BJCC this February 13 as Fleetwood Mac graces the stage. Stevie Nicks is the ideal woman to sing and dance into another love-filled year. Don’t have a date? Grab your besties and celebrate Galentine’s Day! The show starts at 8 p.m.
What to Wear: For this funky Valentine’s Day concert, we suggest just going for it! Rock that trend that you’ve been afraid to try, like leopard print or a fuzzy pink jacket. Or take note from the “White Witch” herself and go for a draped dress like this sparkled number.

The evening kicks off with a sing-along performance with the Mighty Wurlitzer followed by a showing of classic favorite, Casablanca. Special Valentine’s Day cocktails, wine and beer will be available at the event. The night begins at 7 p.m.
What to Wear: For this sweet and casual Valentine’s Day date, we suggest opting for something cool and comfortable, yet festive. It’s not necessary to get all dolled up for your sweetie, but why not get a touch fancy with a nice pair of denim, heels and a fashionable sweater? Or, make it a night on the town and pull out those faux leather leggings, perfect for grabbing a bite and brew downtown after the event.
