Pssst! Can you keep a secret? We’ve got an addiction … to the to the amazing food shots we find on Instagram! We’re all about a delish dish, a savory appetizer or gorgeous greens in our feed. And we just can’t get enough of the Memphians who are equally as excited about their food! So we’ve put together a list of our favorite food-focused Instagrammers to share with you. These foodies range from some of the city’s best known chefs to food and beverage bloggers — their Instagram feeds make us dizzy with hunger.

Get ready to read this on your smartphone, as you’ll want to be tapping and following each one of these!

@chubbyveg

The Chubby Vegetarian is the delightful Justin Fox Burks, a professional photographer and co-author of The Southern Vegetarian  and the soon-to-be-released (November 1, 2016) The Chubby Vegetarian cookbook. His photos make even the meat lovers among us want to go full-on vegetarian!

@901craftbeer

This is the Instagram account of the blog and radio show Memphis Craft Beer (on 600 WREC), which is all about, well, the Memphis craft beer scene. With behind the scenes posts of Memphis craft breweries and new beer releases, this is a must-follow for local beer lovers.We particularly love the fact the folks at MCB also are all about giving back and they raise money for charity with their “Beer it Forward” movement. Cheers to that!

@citytastingtours

Cristina McCarter opened City Tasting Tours earlier this year, leading tours every Saturday that stop for tastings at five favorite restaurants around Downtown Memphis, including Cafe Pontotoc, Spindini and more. With posts that showcase the food the group eats along the way, as well as photos of their downtown discoveries, we feel like we’re always in the know when it comes to downtown dining.

@cara_melized

Blogger, traveler, taster, hostess. That’s how Cara Greenstein, the voice behind the super-popular Caramelized blog, fancies herself (And we fancy her in all those ways, too!). Cara combines the best of food with lifestyle and entertaining ideas for an Instagram feed that’s a must-follow for any Memphis foodie.

@amitaliancooks

Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen Chefs Andy Ticer and Michael Hudman are the boy geniuses behind some of the city’s most acclaimed restaurants — Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen, Hog & Hominy and Porcellino’s Craft Butcher — and their Instagram feed might turn a vegetarian into a carnivore — that’s how yummy their photos are.

@cookwjennifer

Jennifer Chandler is the author of cookbooks The Southern Pantry Cookbook, Simply Salads, Simply Suppers and Simply Grilling. With so many books, you’d think she’d have little time for social media. Wrong! Jennifer’s test kitchen is always on Instagram display and we love seeing the dishes as she puts them together so deliciously.

@memphisfoodies

Who’s behind the Memphis Foodies Instagram feed? We cannot tell. As in, we truly have no idea, as all of our research has turned up nada. But they do have quite the following, with 4,812 followers on Instagram. We love the mystery behind these Memphis-centric foodies almost as much as we love their appetizing photos.

@rendezvousmemphis

Charlie Vergos’ Rendezvous has been serving ribs in a Downtown Memphis alley since 1948 so you might not think an old-school institution like the ‘Vous would be hip to Instagram. Think again! In addition to delicious photos of dry-rubbed ribs, the restaurant’s personality and history shine through on its feed.

@eatlocalmemphis

Eat Local Memphis is the feed belonging to Thomas Robinson, who is singularly dedicated to adventures in local dining. His posts are a combination of gorgeous photography and insider info on the latest restaurant news. He’s also the hubby of Kat Gordon of the famed Muddy’s Bake Shop, which means there is a lot of cross-pollination on their Instagram feeds. We love that!

@muddysbakeshop

And speaking of Kat Gordon, the brilliant baker behind Muddy’s Bake Shop, there has never been an Instagram post of hers that we didn’t like. From scrumptiously frosted cupcakes (we’ll take a Prozac, please!) to cookies, pies, gnomes and Dino Jeff Goldblum, we have a sweet spot for everything Muddy’s!

@901eats

With a sizable Instagram following, @901Eats beautifully showcases the best local dining through gorgeous photography and witty posts. As with our @memphisfoodie friends, we’re not privy to the man or woman behind this Instagram curtain but we do think they’re foodie wizards!

@memphisasfork

@memphisasfork is the Instagram feed of Memphis Magazine’s “The Fork” columnist and contributor John Klyce Minervini, whose stories are always full of inspiration, humor and great reasons to eat, period. You’ll learn as much about local food as you will about local people in his column and he shares tidbits of those interviews and additional photos in his IG posts.
